Laughter contests are fun, inclusive and surprisingly simple to organize. If your country does not yet have one, we encourage you to lead the way.

From first laugh
to national champion.
Choose eight laughers
Eight contestants create a focused, energetic event and leave room for two hosts on a video call.
Warm up together
Begin with a group laugh and a shared ritual—such as singing the national anthem—to make the room feel like a major event.
Run seven challenges
Use one challenge per round, with special group laughs between eliminations. Keep the emphasis on laughing together.
Crown your champion
Narrow the field to a final three, name your National Laughing Champion and celebrate the achievement.
Tell the world
Inform the World Laughing Championship so your winner can take the next step toward the global event.
